After a grueling four month, 900 hour Recruit Academy, 10 recruits have earned the title of Firefighter and have attained their EMT Certification. Under the guidance of EMS Instructor Sara Sheffield and Training Coordinator Jionathan Campbell, the ten newly minted firefighters will be assigned to one of 14 stations throughout the county. The graduation ceremony was held at the National Museum of the Might Eighth Air Force, Thursday, March 6, 2025. This recruit class was the first full academy since the department transitioned to a Chatham County Department and is Training Chief Joshua Anderson's 11th Recruit School graduating class.
