Chatham Fire collaborates with Southern Regional Disaster Response System and others in providing Telemedicine to those in emergency shelters

Chatham County, GA (August 8, 2024) -Southern Regional Disaster Response System in collaboration with the Chatham County Fire Department, the Chatham Emergency Management Agency, the Red Cross and the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless have been providing telemedicine to those in emergency shelters.  This collaboration is to ensure access to care for those impacted by Tropical Storm Debby. Telemedicine includes patient assessments and medication refills to those in need. "We are bringing the right care, at the right time, in the right place," said Chatham Fire Medical Services Director Lydia McCrary."
