The Chatham County Fire Training Division hosted the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Councils (GFSTC) Evaluator Training course.

Personnel from Chatham County Fire attended the training course in addition to staffing from as far away as Burke and Baldwin Counties were also in attendance.  The Evaluator Course allocates firefighters with at least five years of service to attain the certification. The certification allows them to evaluate skills for classes in which they have been certified in for a minimum of one year. Departments having personnel certified as evaluators helps the fire service test more individuals and in turn maintain competency for their departments.
