Chatham Fire's Division Training and Safety Chief Joshua Anderson has developed the curriculum for this week-long program. It is Georgia's first Officer Training Program. Officers across the Coastal Empire and as far as Charlotte, North Carolina are attending the event. Pooler Fire, Bryan County Emergency Services, Liberty County Fire Department and the Charlotte Fire Department are in attendance. Officers will not only take part in classroom curriculum, but also live fire training, search and rescue event scenarios and on scene emergency command management tactics. The program is from October 14-18, 2024, at the Chatham Fire Training Center and will culminate in a graduation ceremony on October 18, 2024.
