The Chatham County Fire Department is proud to recognize six dedicated members who have successfully achieved the Firefighter III certification. This is an advanced professional milestone that reflects a high level of experience, training, and commitment to the fire service.

This accomplishment represents countless hours of classroom instruction, hands-on training, testing, and real-world operational experience. Firefighter III certification signifies advanced competency in emergency operations, leadership, incident safety, and decision-making under pressure.

Recognizing Our Members

Six of the Firefighter III certifications were earned by members of the Chatham County Fire Department including Captains Bradley Neverson, John-William Farrell, Benjamin Perkins, Lieutenant Dustin Turk and firefighters John Page and Cameron Hutcherson demonstrating the department’s continued investment in developing highly skilled and capable firefighters who are prepared to serve the community at the highest level.

In addition, one member from the Tybee Island Fire Department, Johnny completed the requirements and earned the Firefighter III designation alongside CCFD personnel highlighting the strong partnership, shared training standards, and regional cooperation among Chatham County’s fire service agencies.

Firefighter III certification represents advanced proficiency beyond entry-level and intermediate firefighter training. Members who earn this designation demonstrate:
