The Chatham County Fire Department is proud to announce the launch of its inaugural Women’s Summer Fire Camp, a unique, hands-on opportunity designed to introduce high school students to the world of firefighting and emergency response.
Registration is now open to young women entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grades. The camp will be held from July 18–20, 2025, operating daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fire Station 3, located at 2009 Grovepoint Rd., Savannah, GA 31419.
Throughout the three-day camp, participants will gain firsthand experience in real-life emergency response scenarios. Under the guidance of experienced CCFD instructors, attendees will learn lifesaving techniques, fire safety practices, and essential life skills in a safe, interactive, and supportive environment. The program is designed to foster teamwork, leadership, and self-confidence among its participants.
“This camp is about more than just fire service, it’s about inspiring the next generation of strong, capable women,” said Training Chief Joshua Anderson. “We want to give these students the tools and encouragement to explore their potential and grow through challenge.”
